Karen Grundhofer

Membership and Community Outreach Chair

Karen led an exciting life as an expat for more than 20 years. After attending UC Berkeley, she began her professional hospitality career in London working for high-end hotel groups, including Four Seasons and Park Hyatt. Her life shifted direction by continuing the adventure in the Middle East, where she started her family. As a stay-at-home mom, she took on leadership roles at American schools in Riyadh, Dubai and Beirut, collaborating with international women from all over the world to enrich the lives of both the children in attendance and in the host country. Upon returning to the United States, Karen put her communication skills to work by managing Jofit in Newport Beach. She began networking throughout Orange County, concentrating on non-profit events. In her current role as Director of Special Events and Client Relations for Jump Global Technology Advisors, Karen enjoys planning events for their partner charity, United Champions for Change. Impact Giving is a perfect fit for Karen as she especially enjoys serving on grant committees and offering a unique perspective on international charities’ grant applications. She also serves on the Development Committee for New Directions for Women, as well as an ambassador for Breast Cancer Angels. In her off-time, Karen is an avid golfer who also enjoys cooking and Pilates.
